In a recent development in West Bengal's political scene, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and state opposition leader Shubhendu Adhikari have engaged in a series of challenges over phone call records and allegations of rioting.
On Wednesday, Banerjee had challenged Adhikari to provide evidence of his supposed phone call to Home Minister Amit Shah regarding their party's national status.
In response, Adhikari held a press conference today and challenged the Chief Minister to prove her allegations that Shah had discussed riots in the state with him.
Adhikari also claimed that the matter should be left to the courts to investigate and that phone call details cannot be simply displayed.
